Niger Delta youth organization has threatened to attack the campaign team of the presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammad Buhari, reports NewsDay.
The attack is in retaliation for the attack on the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential campaign convoy in Katsina on Tuesday.
The group, the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), in a statement signed by its spokesman, Eric Omare, said the decision to retaliate is based on the confirmed involvement of the APC in the Katsina attack.
The group accused Buhari of instigating his supporters to attack President Jonathan’s convoy in his home state.
Omare stated that the group has mandated its members and supporters of President Jonathan to retaliate any attack on the president by Buhari’s supporters
